The Government Expenditure and Revenue in Scotland 2000-01 report is an impartial examination of budgetary issues in Scotland, Ministers said today.
Minister for Finance and Public Services Andy Kerr said:
"This report has been compiled by Scottish Government economists and statisticians and offers an examination of budgetary issues in Scotland. I am confident GERS will make an important contribution in this area."
Secretary of State Helen Liddell said:
"GERS provides detailed and impartial information about revenues and public expenditure issues in Scotland. It enhances our understanding of how public finances are distributed throughout the UK."
