Scottish Secretary John Reid today expressed his regret and condolences to the families of the seven crew members lost at sea in the Solway Harvester tragedy.
Mr Reid said:
"I would like to express my heartfelt sympathies to the families of the seven men of the Solway Harvester whose lives have been lost at sea. All our thoughts are with them.
"Any loss at sea is a tragedy - and when so many have been lost from such small communities this makes the sense of loss even more greatly felt.
"This tragedy has touched the hearts of people across Scotland and the UK."
