Jim Murphy will attend a meeting of Alex Salmond's cabinet next month.
He said: "This is an important time for us to work together for the benefit of the people of Scotland," adding there was an enormous amount to discuss, including the green jobs strategy, and the Westminster Government's £500 million investment in getting Scots back to work - a plan which included a jobs fund which will create 15,000 jobs.
Jim Murphy's Letter to the First Minister
"I am happy to confirm that I will be attending your Cabinet on 23 June, which follows directly on from the UK Cabinet that morning.
This is an important time for us to work together for the benefit of the people of Scotland.
There is an enormous amount for us to talk about including;
- our green jobs strategy,
- our 500m investment in getting Scots back to work - in particular the jobs fund which will create 100,000 jobs in Scotland
- our industrial activism strategy which will support modern manufacturing,
- and the steps which we are taking to combat the effects of the global downturn
I am looking forward to being able to talk through these issues with you and your colleagues and welcome your acceptance of my earlier offer to brief your administration on UK Government policies."
