Guide to information

All public authorities are obliged to adopt the model publication scheme issued by the Information Commissioner. The Scotland Office adopts the ICO's model publication scheme which can be accessed via the following link: Link opens in new windowICO Model Publication Scheme

The Scotland Office Guide to Information specifies:

  • The classes of information which they routinely make available;
  • The manner in which the information is or is intended to be made available; and
  • Whether the material is or is intended to be made available to the public free of charge or on payment.
