Dover House The Scotland Office 1999-Present
Dover House is now the headquarters of the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Parliamentary Under Secretary and the Advocate General for Scotland, along with their respective Private Secretaries and support staff, Dover House also accommodates staff of the Parliamentary and Constitutional Division as well as providing a London base for the Scottish Executive.
Conclusion
Dover House continues to intrigue and fascinate. Perhaps it is imagination but many have heard strange sounds and felt a strange presence. Perhaps it is only the noise of the nearby traffic echoing round the passages, or is it something else? Perhaps the events of the early part of the nineteenth century are somehow still imprinted in the fabric and the beautiful, yet troubled, wife of William Lamb is somehow still amongst us!
